The branch of Kempo known as Goho Kempo Karate literally means "strength principle fist law empty hand." It represents the Karate of Okinawa developed from the striking skills derived from the Chinese martial arts. Goho teaches a practitioner to use the entire body--not just the arms and legs--to generate tremendously powerful strikes that will overcome an attacker quickly and effectively. It is similar to the many forms of self-defense that derive from Okinawan Karate.
