Nimpo Kempo Kobujutsu

The branch of Kempo known as Nimpo Kempo Kobujutsu literally means "patience principle fist law ancient martial art." It represents the Nimpo/Ninjutsu developed by the Sohei, warrior monks, and taught to the Jisamurai for protection and spiritual development, as well as clandestine maneuvers. Nimpo emphasizes utilizing the unexpected--surprising an attacker in order to overcome him. The art involves elements of strategy and subterfuge. Such training can be applied to self-defense as well as other facets of life. These skills are not usually taught to beginners, but reserved for higher ranks who have proven themselves to be trustworthy and morally upstanding.
